Wolf 359 is a northern hemisphere object, located 7.7 light years from Earth. It is only 1/100th the brightness of the Sun, and its temperature is only 2,430 Kelvin. Compared with the Sun's temperature of 6,000 Kelvin, Wolf 359 is a really cool star! Like Barnard's Star, Wolf 359 is known as a red dwarf - dwarf referring to its size, and red referring to the part of the electromagnetic spectrum where most of its energy is emitted. Hubble Space Telescope has produced images of Wolf 359 with unprecedented spatial resolution to search for companions (planets or brown dwarfs). It is still the only star among our immediate neighborhood with Jupiter-size planets.

According to some scientists based on computer algorithmic projections and intelligence extrapolation, there is a more that 70% possibility that first extraterrestrial intelligent life forms will be found there. No one knows if they will come and visit us first or we will visit them before that.

Some remote viewers around the world have projected that in 2020 the terrestrial civilization and the extraterrestrial civilization will meet each other. There will be interstellar commerce, communication, exchange of scholars and so on.
