England were 163/4 in the 50.3 overs before play called off

England played well in a turf where Indian bowlers gained advantages. England were 163/4 in the 50.3 overs that could be bowled on a day when play started 45 minutes late. If that was not enough, bad light and drizzles halted play twice more.
