Quake rips open one of world's most restricted areas: highly militarized Line of Control the nuclear hot point of the world

The earthquake that leveled villages and cracked open mountains also tore open the tightly restricted area around the Line of Control separating Indian and Pakistani Kashmir _ giving the world a glimpse of the secretive area and bringing new hope to residents cut off for decades, even from other Kashmiris.
For those who live along the line, the influx of aid has brought the unexpected to the isolated Uri valley.
"Now we have doctors. Before we only had soldiers," said 54-year-old Mohammed Bat, as he got his first-ever injection _ though he didn''t know what it was for. "What else will we get?"
