PM Manmohan Singh’s remarks praising British Raj make India wake up to reality – Manmohan Singh and current Congress leadership Western agents?
India is getting a wake up call as Manomohan Singh and Congress leadership slowly aligns itself to the Western power block of UK and US. Even the Left Front who controls the destiny of the UPA Government can stop congress from aligning India to the West. The gains for India are clear. But what is not clear is the smoothness in which India’s nuke capabilities all on a sudden was accepted by the West specially America.
The opposition BJP and NDA coalition wants to censure the Prime Minister.
According to media reports, having decided to take part in the monsoon session, the opposition-led NDA on Sunday decided to corner the UPA government by bringing a censure motion against Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for his remarks praising the British raj and an adjournment motion on the controversial IMDT Act.
A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of NDA leaders at the residence of NDA chairman and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee here, BJP general secretary Sushma Swaraj told reporters.
A censure motion would be brought against the Prime Minister for his recent statement at Oxford in the UK praising the British raj and the opposition would try to bring it under rule 184 in the Lok Sabha, which entails voting, and under rule 167 in the Rajya Sabha, she said.
"We want a full discussion on the statement of the Prime Minister in the UK", she said. She alleged that the UPA government was making attempts to nullify the Illegal Migrants (Determination by Tribunals) Act, recently struck down by the Supreme Court, and bring it back in some other form.
The NDA would bring an adjournment in the house on the issue, she added. Swaraj said that opposition would among other things raise issues such as Prime Minister's recent US visit, re-emergence of terrorism in Punjab and naxalism in various parts of the country.
