Are Indian hospitals involved in a racket to sell of illegal human organs especially export the same?

It is another quick money scheme in India. Those daytime operators who openly sell IT programmer bodies to Western need of outsourcing and temporary help have now started another way to make foreign money at any cost.

According to media reports, many Indian hospitals are involved in rackets of organ sale especially exporting abroad for foreign exchanges.

The whole fault lies with Indian Government’s incentives and encouragements to earn foreign exchanges at any cost.

The West Bengal police, investigating the sale of human organs, has received reports of the possible involvement of a major private hospital in Chennai in the racket following the arrest of a local tout.

Siliguri's additional Superintendent of Police Tripurary said on Wednesday investigations would continue before approaching the Chennai police on the allegation that a Chennai hospital had performed a forceful kidney removal operation on one Samir Das.

Das, a 35-year-old rickshawpuller of Siliguri, was taken to Chennai for a job by the tout, identified as Krishna Hazra (45) and also a resident of Siliguri, in August last.

When Das fell ill in October last and was admitted to a private hospital, he was drugged and allegedly operated upon for kidney removal. When he gained consciousness, he was told that one of his kidneys had been donated for money. Das was given four cheques worth Rs 37,000 by Hazra's son-in-law.

Das returned to Siliguri in January. The cheques also bounced. The incident came to light on Tuesday when the rickshawpuller identified the tout and had him arrested with the help of members of a local club.

Tripathy said an FIR was lodged with the Siliguri police station in which the name of a health institution, which runs a chain of hospitals and nursing homes across the country, was mentioned.

After some verification, the help of the Chennai police would be sought to identify the health institution and others involved in the case.
