Nokia joins the India bandwagon – will set up base station manufacturing unit in Chennai

Japanese companies are now showing a lot of interests in Indian BPO services and manufacturing. It is not just access to Indian market but using India as a manufacturing base.
Nokia Corp said it will establish a base station manufacturing unit in Chennai, India.
No financial details were disclosed.
The plant will manufacture handsets for not only Indian markets but also for exports all around the world.
