Shabd for Oscar nomination? Is it Ash’s sizzle or the script?
It was much more than Ash’s sex appeal. It was a piece of cinematography that finally got appreciated. According to sources if all goes right, it may win an Oscar nomination.
The Margaret Herrick Library, the official library of the Academy Motion Pictures Arts and Science, has selected Shabd, Leena Yadav's debut starring Sanjay Dutt, Aishwarya Rai and Zayed Khan. Most of the Oscar nominated and selected scripts are part of the library.
According to some Internet sites, a thrilled Leena Yadav says, “ I am very proud that our hard work has been appreciated and it reinforces our belief in the script regardless of its box office results, I am delighted by this honour.”
What really made the movie stand out among others was the script. Sanju baba and Ash delivered the script with solid maturity and care. Zayed Khan and Ash also showed the class of Indian movies.
Shabd and Black are both world-class movies, say some Hollywood experts.
