Start of a counter Velvet Revolution in Ukraine?

Ukraine internally is going through chaotic turmoil between pro-Western and pro-Russian power blocks. Some international think tanks believe that Ukraine is experiencing a very early Counter Velvet Revolution emanating from the east of the nation.

About 3,000 supporters of former Ukrainian Prime Minister and ex-presidential candidate Viktor Yanukovich gathered outside a Kiev courthouse, where closed hearings were taking place in the case of Donetsk City Council head Boris Kolesnikov. Kolesnikov was arrested on April 6th and charged with "separatism" in connection with events on Dec. 24, 2004 -- at the height of Ukraine's political crisis -- when he suggested that the eastern region should consider secession if Yanukovich were not awarded the presidency.
