Pakistan acquires Chinese frigates with helicopters – arms race in South Asia?

Pakistan showed the signs for the start of a major arms race in the South Asian subcontinent.

Pakistan has signed a deal with China to purchase four F-22P frigates, Pakistan's Defense Ministry said. The warships will have helicopters, surface-to-surface missiles and surface-to-air missiles. A navy official said China is selling the warships as a "transfer of technology" and that the ships will be built in Pakistan.

According to sources and international think tanks, India has already taken the possible acquisition into account. There is a silent arms race in progress!
