Apr. 5, 2005

A blazing century by rookie wicketkeeper-batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni helped India post a mammoth 356 for 9 in the second cricket one-day international against Pakistan here on Tuesday. Dhoni slammed a hurricane 148 from 123 balls. Pakistan were all out 298. Despite the early loss of Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag continued to dominate the Pakistani attack as he smashed an unbeaten 69 off just 33 balls.

M.S Dhoni who was sent up the order by skipper Ganguly, provided belligerent support as he joined in the run feast with 36 runs off 32 balls.

Earlier, after India won the toss and elected to bat first, Sachin Tendulkar was run out by Yousuf Youhana for a mere 2 runs.
