A failed Indian foreign policy as America prepares to leave Afghanistan leaving Pakistan in control of militant infrastructure
Americans want to leave Afghanistan leaving behind an emboldened Pakistan supporting a militant structure : A failed foreign policy of Manmohan Singh and secret American betrayal for India.
U.S. and Pakistan appear to be laying groundwork for the incorporation of elements of the Taliban into the Afghan state.
America wants to abandon the expensive Afghan war. They want to leave Pakistan in charge just like it was before September 11, 2001.
The Indians are concerned that with American underwriting, the Pakistanis not only will re-emerge as a major check on Indian ambitions and strategic defense in South Asia, but will be very similar to the sort of state-militant partnership that so effectively limited Indian power in the past.
India is also concerned that Pakistani promises to the Americans about what sort of behavior militants in Afghanistan will be allowed to engage in will not sufficiently limit the militants’ activities — and in any event will do little to do nothing to address the Kashmiri militant issue.
For now, Americans will be on offensive. But in a year or two America led NATO will be out of Afghanistan leaving Pakistan and local Afghans in charge.
The blame will lie on PM Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi who allowed America (Bush and Obama Administration) to use India as a temporary tool to bring Pakistan back into mainstream American surrogate nationhood. The days of Kargil war will be back when Pakistan will dare instigate India by pushing into Indian territory and also send secret ISI agents to disrupt Indian Parliament.
When BJP is power again in a few years, unfortunately the nationalist patriotic party will have to deal with America and China supported and aided notorious Pakistan just like it had to deal in late nineties and early part of the new millennium.
