Kashmir seperatist leader accused of killing innocent civilian Kashmiri youth

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today strongly hit back
at Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani holding him
directly responsible for the killing of a civilian.
According to media reports, Omar Abdullah blamed Hurriyat (G) chairman for giving Chalo (march)
calls and protest programmes causing problems to the common people. He
said, “Today’s incident has again proved that death of a civilian was
caused after he gave Friday protest calendar. Let me tell you if
Geelani had not given the protest call, no stone pelting would have
taken place,” he said while talking to different media persons.
Omar said there are some leaders who are always trying to destabilise
the peace and normalcy in the state by giving these protest calls. He
maintained that Shafiq had nothing to do with the protests. “He was
traveling in a bus when a stone hit him badly,” chief minister said.
He viewed that those giving these calls remain silent when civilians
are killed by the protesters. “Any wise person would condemn this
death. This is an unnecessary death brought about by unnecessary
protests announced by Geelani. He is responsible for Shafiq’s death,”
Omar said.
