The politics of UN Security Council Seat has heated up. India, Japan and Germany are the three serious contenders for the seats.
While Germany is playing its own political string play with Putin and Bush Administration, situation in Asia is chaotic! Pakistan and some other South Asian countries are strongly against India bid to permanent membership to UN Security Council.
According to media reports, South Korean legislators moved to draft a resolution that officially denounces any Japanese bid to obtain a permanent seat on the U.N. Security Council. Kang Chang-il, a representative of the ruling Uri Party, said that South Korean legislators also plan to form an international campaign against Japan's bid by joining forces with legislators from China, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines and North Korea.
In the mean time UN is losing its own credibility with all kinds of controversies surrounding “Iraqi Oil for Food Program.”
