India’s CBI is wrong in vindicating Mayawati – it is equivalent to FBI going after Martin Luther King in sixties
Latha Rai
Jul. 13, 2008

Shame on the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) of India. Shame on the Indian bureaucrats who bowed down to the pressure of the Congress Party.

No matter what the Congress Party does, it will not win the UP election. But they want to create as much chaos as possible. They are taking the same approach America’s FBI took in sixties trying to vindicate Martin Luther King.

The CBI has alleged that Mayawati "camouflaged" various sources of funds to the tune of Rs 13.18 crore by naming over 130 people as "donors", who did not have money to make their daily ends meet.

The whole thing is set up to dishonour a nationalist Indian leader like Mayawati – the nightmare of Sonia Gandhi and the Congress party.

The Central Bureau of Investigation needs a thorough cleansing from unnecessary political influences.

The CBI informed the apex court that a total of 30 donors have been traced and examined by the CBI. "These donors have stated that they do not have means and resources to gift or donate such huge amounts as reflected by those whop donated concerned in their income tax returns,"

In any politics, it is called bundling of small donors. Obama in America does it too. Small donors are used to bundle together to allow big donations. There is nothing wrong with that. Some times an ordinary citizen can influence some one rich or vice versa to bundle together large contributions. Why CBI does not know that. Look at American Senator Obama’s campaign in US Presidential politics – and learn it first time. You want to know why India’s CBI is taking revenge on Mayawati at the insistence of Gandhi family?

Indian Marxist leader Karat's surprise meeting with Mayawati, who took power in Uttar Pradesh in May last year, marks a formal end to decades of ties the CPI-M has had with BSP's sworn enemy, the Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh. As the Samajwadi Party came to the rescue of the Congress over the nuclear deal, Mayawati denounced it.
