Pro western Rahul Gandhi praises Manmohan Singh for sacrificing Indian nuclear sovereignty
”In politics, it is more important to stand for national interest and principles…” says Rahul Gandhi, half Indian half Italian. The so-called young MP from Indian political royal family Gandhi is ecstatic of his families surrogate PM Manmohan Singh.
It is known that Rahul had thrown his weight behind the nuclear deal. His pro western Italian instinct says India should be a political satellite of European and American power base.
“National Interest” is the new slogan from the Congress general secretary. But this half Indian political leader who have risen to power by virtue of the Gandhi family legacy has confused between unpatriotic treason against India and love for Mother India.
The reason why the nuclear deal is so unpopular among Indians is the way the deal was inked with a an American Administration that never cares for a country like India except the monetary interests of the American corporations that provide political contribution.
The hide and seek of Hyde Act, the secrecy of IAEA safeguard, PM’s refusal to answer technical questions, Bush Administration’s cold shouldering the details of the deal all added up to the unpopularity and suspicion on the deal.
No one knows what India had to sacrifice to make IAEA, the Europeans and the Americans happy. No one knows how IAEA will monitor Indian nuclear ambition and sovereignty. No one knows how much Indian indigenous nuclear research and development will have to be demolished like that of North Korea. No one knows if this is just a ploy by the Americans and the Europeans to keep Indian nuclear program under control. ,P>
No one knows if Rahul Gandhi and PM Manmohan Singh will gace treason charges under Indian constitution or will be recorded in the history books as true patriotic children of Mother India.
One thing is for sure, they are unknowingly playing with fire that can burn every Indian someday. Coming out of this nuclear deal will not be easy. At that time India can turn into another Iraq.
