Is Obama abandoning his democratic grass root donors who helped him defeat Hillary Clinton? A shrewd strategy or a betrayal?
Obama campaign has stopped emailing to the grass root donors who helped him win against Hillary Clinton. Some say, he does need those small $5 donors any more. Big business, oil companies, and medicial insurers are ready to pump hundreds of millions into his campeign.
The emails stopped the day he decided to help the telecom companies bowing to Bush’s demands.
Sen. Barack Obama's vote for a federal surveillance law that he had previously opposed has sparked a backlash from his online advocates, who had energized his campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination.
Obama does not need the traditional blacks and independent minded nonunionized educated democrats any more. His strategy is to go to the rightb of the center and pose trouble for McCain’s base. He is even tending towards a Republican Vice Presidential choice.
Sen. Barack Obama is heading to Iraq later this month with two Senate colleagues, Republican Chuck Hagel and Democrat Jack Reed. According to sources, Republican Chuck Hagel may be the vice prudential choice. His vote for Bush’s surveillance bill and Republican Chuck Hagel’s inclusion in Iraq trip are clear indications where this man is going.
Will this strategy work? It is a gamble for sure. How else a black man can become a president of United States plagued by a Republican party that is focused on even distribution of wealth and stealth racism?
It is political strategy that will be known as betrayal or shrewd strategy.
