France is upset with Chinese postures on Tibet and its attitude towards spiritual leader Dalai Lama. While Bush and his corporate sponsors (the big donors) are eager to keep China happy so that American companies can get access to cheap slave labor in China and access to Chinese consumers at any cost, France is ready to play a tougher role with the Chinese.

Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner summoned the Chinese ambassador to France and expressed disgust at Chinese attitudes towards anyone willing to side with Dalai Lama and cause of Tibetan nationalism.

France will receive Dalai Lama with a red carpet and side with his concerns against Chinese occupation of Tibet. French President Sarkozy had said his presence in Beijing depended on China's willingness to talk to the Dalai Lama, comments that irritated China, which considers Tibet an internal affair.

France is eager to see the Chinese communists meet and discuss self rule of Tibet with Dalai Lama. Chinese official met with the representatives of Dalai Lama twice. According to international think tanks, Chinese communists are trying to push the Dalai effect beyond the Olympics and after that they will just ignore Tibet and its spiritual leadership.
