Russian President Madvadev more interested in American wealth transferred to Russia than opposition to missiles – Bush meets a shrewd Russian leader
US President George Bush got a shock of lifetime when he met the new Russian President Madvadev. Bush was ready to defend the US missile shields in Eastern Europe. Madvadev was not interested in talking about that. He was more interested in getting US wealth transferred to Russia.
Madvadev’s business acumen overtook Bush’s defence assertiveness. Madvadev understands no matter what Russia does or thinks or says the Bush Administration will do what it thinks is right. He also understands this lame duck US President’s tenure is less than seven months from today.
Medvedev, who referred to Bush informally as "George," said Bush's presidency isn''t over and that he intends to intensify discussions with him. The new Russian leader said he would build upon U.S.-Russia relations with the next U.S. president, whomever that turns out to be.
"I found him to be a smart guy who understands issues very well," Bush said.
Madvadev interest in American policies is centered around business. He is interested in exploiting the fat cat cash rich America and its western and Asian allies. He understands his weapon in energy not the nukes or missiles. The nukes or missiles can never be used as a weapon but oil and gas can be used.
Russia is interested in higher oil prices and proving US and Europe energy at a maximum premium to transfer wealth from America to Russia.
