Indian railway minister – the proudest cowboy of India Lalu Prasad Yadav tried to quietly raise train freight on food but something unexpected happened
He is the most prestigious milkman of India. He says if you do not know how to milk cows, you are less of a human being. This great man is the railway minister of India. He resembles US President George Bush in many ways. Both believe in Cattle ranching and Cowboy mentality. Both operate in secrecy. Both care little about telling any truth.
Well Lalu did it again. He says if George can do, so can he. Lalu Prasad had quietly raised freight on essentials like food grain and coal from July 1 bringing more distress to common people of India. He wants to manifest that he runs his railway with profit at the cost of suffering Indian people in hunger.
His quiet sleazy act was detected by his friend Finance Minister Chidambaram who is always watchful of this Cowboy of India. This was the seventh time in four months that Lalu Prasad had raised freight by issuing circulars, looking to show better earnings, after proclaiming in the rail budget that there would be no across-the-board hikes in 2008-09.
This time the Indian cowboy Lalu could not get through. Chidambaram caught him red handed and his ambitions were clipped.
Lalu recently told his staff, “we should have the power of George Bush to lie to the world and get away with it brainwashing naïve citizens and with big mouth like Rush Limbaugh. Why we have to have any finance ministry in India?”
