Russia ready to play the oil chips. – restricts BP in oil and gas deals
Praful Chauhan
Jul. 1, 2008

Russia has refused work visas to the BP executives and that marks the start of a new era where western oil companies are slowly thrown out of Russia.

Putin and Madvadev are ready to play the oil chips. They know they hold liquid gold that the world especially the western nation including America need badly.

The foreign executives could see all of them forced out of the country by the end of the month. The Russian move in refusing the work visas to the BP’s foreign executives have come after BP and its Russian partners continued spurring over control of the TNK-BP joint venture.

The chief executive of the joint venture, its chief financial officer, and a number of other executives will have to leave Russia by end of the month. That automatically allows full Russian control over the joint venture.
