Musharraf plays his first tactic - former PM Nawaz Sharif'' barred from contesting parliamentary by-elections scheduled for June 26 – is Zardari behind it?

The signs were clear right from the beginning. Musharraf’s judges are determined to keep the dictator in power. It was the first sign that Pakistan Military is in actual control of Pakistan and Musharraf is their leader.
A full bench of the Lahore High Court, which was hearing two petitions filed against the candidature of Sharif and his brother Shahbaz, barred the PML-N chief from contesting by-elections on pleas from his rivals that he was convicted on terrorism and graft charges after the 1999 bloodless coup by then army chief Pervez Musharraf.
In Lahore and Karachi the rumor in the streets are that Zardari and Musharraf have reached a clear deal. Sharif will be kept out of politics and Musharraf will have shared power with PPP and its current leader Zardari.
PPP protested against the Lahore High Court decision. But no one knows what is going on behind the scene. Zardari openly says that he and Sharif must get Musharraf out from power. Otherwise both of them may end up in jail. He is right with some modification perhaps. If Musharraf can convince Bush or McCain, Sherif can end up in jail.
Interestingly, Sharif’s PML-N condemned the court's verdict, describing it as "politically motivated" and part of a conspiracy to keep Sharif out of parliament.
The climax of the whole situation is that the bench has announced its verdict before hearing the applications from PML-N Lawyers.
