Musharraf’s secret plan to put Shariff and Zardari both in jail and maintain power in Pakistan

PPP leader Zardari suspected it right. Musharraf is planning to put Zardari and Shariff both in jail. Zardari said that the PPP is trying to frame a strategy with its coalition partners to remove Musharraf.

"I have told Nawaz Sharif that if we fail to remove Musharraf, we both might end up in Landhi jail," Zardari said at a news conference in Larkana yesterday, adding he had held negotiations with Sharif on two occasions last week to settle differences.

Musharraf’s grand strategy is to bring charges back on Zardari and Sheriff and jail them for treason.

Reiterating the PPP's commitment to an independent judiciary, Zardari acknowledged that there was no agreement between his party and the PML-N on how to reinstate the judges sacked during last year's emergency by Musharraf.

The biggest question is how much support does Musharraf has among the Pakistani Military command and control. Sources say General Kiani will now allow removal of Musharraf at this stage. Musharraf, according to Kiani is experienced in controlling whims of Americans especially the Bush Administration.

The biggest question of course is that will the Military allow jailing Zardari and Sheriff. A strategy from inner core of Musharraf’s people is not allowing the civilian Government any leverage to perform anything good. Sooner or later they will be blamed for all the trouble. The People of Pakistan will get fed up. At that stage these two leaders Zardari and Sheriff can be conveniently jailed.
