There is no need of Hindu suicide bombers – like George Bush we do not need to fight terror with counter terror - Bal Thackeray is wrong
Nitin Patil
Jun. 18, 2008

Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray on Wednesday advocated the creation of “Hindu suicide squads” to fight the scourge of “Islamic terrorism.” He is wrong in his method of fighting terror with terror.

That what Americans did with the Islamic terrorists. They went to the low level of Al-Queda and started counter torture without due process in the court. That’s George Bush’s saga and karma.

Hinduism is dominated by integrated consciousness, love and compassion. Love, peace and compassion was the mantra of Hindus and that of Lord Buddha. Just because some fanatic ball headed Islamic terrorists are using suicide bombers, we Hindus do not need to follow them. It is not good to use Air force to create terror among moderate innocent Muslims either.

Indian Army and security forces are capable of going after these low base terror creatures. Unlike other militaries, Indian military seldom kills or hurts innocent by standards. That is where the difference between compassion and arrogance comes.

We should treat fellow Muslims with full respect and dignity. We should have compassion and love for them. Do not forget once upon a time all their forefathers were Hindus in India and Pakistan. We should convince them to come back home under the Hindu parampara by love, and compassion – not by blowing them apart with suicide bombers.

This theory might look strange but it is fact of life. American have proved that hatred and tit for tat policies take you no where. After all nonviolent movements brought freedom to India, freedom to blacks in America and demolished apartheid in South Africa.
