After the French Open title what’s next for Rafa Nadal?

Rafael Nadal is the new champ. He won his fourth successive French Open title on Sunday with a 6-1, 6-3, 6-0 victory over Roger Federer.

Sunday's win was Nadal's 28th win in 28 matches here and was his third successive final win over the world number one who is still without the French Open title he needs to complete a career Grand Slam. The three-times defending champion saved a set point in the third set to win in two hours 49 minutes and advance to a final against world number one Roger Federer, who is thrilled "to play Rafa again".

What is next for Nadal?

According to sources close to Nadal, he wants to be the number one. The next steps are Wimbledon, Beijing and Davis Cup. Sunday's win was Nadal's 11th in 17 meetings with Federer and his ninth in 10 claycourt clashes.
