Tearing along at 12,700 mph slowed by thin Mars atomsphere, a parachute and fire thruster rockets Phoenix lands in red planet in search of life and water

May 26, 2008

The final end of tale that life only exists in the earth is coming to reality. NASA’s small science probe blazed through the skies of Mars and landed safely to start the most intriguing explorationm of the mankind.
The spectacular science achievement lie in the fact that the first time that a spacecraft had successfully landed at one of the planet’s polar regions.
The polar regions of Mars have vast reservoirs of water frozen beneath a shallow layer of soil. Phoenix was launched Aug. 4, 2007, to sample the water and determine if the right ingredients for life are present.
Scientists believe the space probel will find clues of life in its most initial gross format that can unfold many mystries including human origin. Phoenix was launched Aug. 4, 2007. It finally made to uncover the facts of Mars.
There is abnother massive achievement in this. For the first time in 32 years NASA landed its space craft successfully on legs and propulsive rockets.
Challenge lies in using electric propulsion to do the same in further distant destination. It’s a great start.
