Musharraf will only go if US stops supporting the brutal dictator: Bhutto
Preeti Singhani
Nov. 13, 2007

It is time for Musharraf to go. If he does not leave peacefully, he will eventually face prosecution and hard punishment from the people of Pakistan. Benazir Bhutto, under house arrest to hamper her opposition to Pakistan's emergency rule, said the U.S. should withdraw support for Pervez Musharraf to persuade him to quit as president.

Musharraf hangs on because his military keeps him in power. The military gets their share of the $100 million US gives the General to support the anti-terror activities.

Pakistan Military sees Musharraf as the man who can milk America well and bring millions for their deposits in the Swiss Banks. They give a detailed report how they spend millions of dollars – but every one knows that Pakistan Military and Musharraf steals the American money outright.

If America stops funding the General, he will be thrown out of power in weeks. ``Washington has to make a critical decision now,'''' Bhutto said in a telephone interview from Lahore. ``In the past, we''ve tried to find solutions around Musharraf, but now public opinion isn''t allowing that. I certainly hope that Washington will go with the people of Pakistan.''''

All eyes are on the Americans. Will America again opt for double standard – democracy in Iraq and dictatorship in Pakistan? Will America stop funding the corrupt brutal Musharraf once forever?
