India and Russia have agreed on the cooperation between the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and the Federal Space Agency of Russia in the field of joint moon exploration within the framework of the agreement on cooperation in the field of exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes.

The two country will also forge ahead with the joint development and production of of multi-role transport aircraft (MRTA).

The accords were signed by the two sides after bilateral talks between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin.

However, Russia will not cooperate with India on light water reactors till India conforms to the guidelines of the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) on nuclear trade.
