Numerical analysis of acoustic black holes provides clues to higher dimensions

You do not have top travel to a black hole or the outer edge of the universe to experience higher dimensions. We can perceive the 3D spatial configuration around us but in reality we are submerged in many more dimensions.

Acoustic analogues of black holes (dumb holes) are generated when a supersonic fluid flow entrains sound waves and forms a trapped region from which sound cannot escape. The surface of no return, the acoustic horizon, is qualitatively very similar to the event horizon of a general relativity black hole. In particular Hawking radiation (a thermal bath of phonons with temperature proportional to the ``surface gravity'''') is expected to occur.

Numerical analysis and advanced computational models show the existence of higher dimensions around the acoustic black holes. Further analysis of quasi-one-dimensional supersonic flow of a Bose--Einstein condensate (BEC) further confirms the existence of the higher dimensions.
