US Presidential election debates will not be centered on Iraq – it will be based on financial meltdown currently underway – how do you protect your financial future?
Most of the Democrats and Republicans are focused on Iraq war. Most political pundits feel, the US Presidential election debates will not be centered on Iraq. But no one is closely watching the actual financial meltdown that is taking place all across the country and spilling over into Asia and Europe.
The subprime meltdown is just tip of the iceberg. The actual avalanche is in leveraged merger and acquisitions. Many bubbles are bursting simultaneously. The real estate, mortgage, leveraged buy outs, reminiscence of the tech bubble are all working together to choke the economy into depression.
The next year’s US Presidential election debates will not be centered on Iraq. It will be based on the mistakes of the Federal Reserve in the last twenty years specially under the leadership of Allan Greenspan. The issue will be economy and financial irresponsibilities by the Democrats and the Republican over the last twenty years.
The question is how do you protect your financial future?
The first step is to get out of the stock market and stay out for decades. The long term trend is down and will be down for the next twenty years. Gold is a temporary relief that will eventually rise to $1000 per ounce or more and then fall part below $200 an ounce.
Take control of your money. Do not leave it in Bank. FDIC itself will fail. Federal Government will not be able to bail out trillions of dollars in bad investments by banks and financial services sectors.
Other than your primary residential home, you should not own on debt (mortgage) any additional property. Pay down your debt on your home and credit card debts. Avoid buying cars on loan. Be shrewd – a difficult time is ahead of us.
