Global equities shrugged off the rout in government bonds but that is normal before massive sell offs
Peter Oberois
Jun. 17, 2007

It is a simple case when momentum takes over the fundamentals. The momentum in rising stocks is high. In the past , stock market first gets hit by bond round, then rallies in contertrend rally (even makes a new high) and then finally collapse in a devastating crash.

The global stock markets are doing the same. The bond market is lower for reasons. It is just not fluke. The extra liquidity is wrrisome for the bond market. While we keep focusing on wage and pricing deflation, the fact is there is unnecessary asset inflation.

The trend in bond market is decicively bearish. Though the bearisness in overdoen, the rates are not going to come down overnight. If that ius the case, stock market will make a new high and then collpase.
