Modern India – software outsourcing, BPO not much different from prostitutions and pimps

I just came back from Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. I saw an unbelievable India. It is shameful. At night when I landed in Delhi Airport, I found pimps trying to sell well educated Indian girls openly in the Delhi Airports and the lobbies of high-class hotels for $250. I saw the same in Bangkok, Thailand when I visited there.

In the morning I saw another class of pimps. These are Indian outsourcing companies. They will do anything for American dollars and Euros. They sell programming bodies and call center girls to American and European companies that flock to Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi to earn Dollars and Euros.

Something really interesting I found in the communist state of India – West Bengal. The prostitution is less. People have more dignity. But the Government is worse than the high tech pimps of Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi and Mumbai. These communists are cash starved. They want money to feed their comrades who just sit and so nothing. They would promise anything to get American dollars and Euros. They are even selling the livelihoods of their own poor farmers to gain money from Indian Industrialists.

The influx of foreign goods and lack of income and resource to buy them have made people borrow on their credit cards. The ‘show of’ is the name of the game among the middle class Indians. The foreign banks that issue credit cards have hired thugs to harass those who do not pay the credit card debts. The psychological and physical pressure is heavy on Indian guys and girls. That has cause severe levels of prostitutions among middle class well educated Indian girls.

Things are not much different among men either. A typical engineer (mechanical, electrical or civil) will accept a software job sacrificing the long-term career and work through a pimp type Indian IT Company to serve an American and European outfit. Well educated men and women will work as telemarketers, call center people as long as you can lure them with some dollars and euros.

The moment they see you are foreigners with dollars or euros, or you are an expatriate (they call Nonresident Indians or NRIs) they will try to snatch you dollars. They will do anything for your money.
