World leaders look towards the leaks from the secret tapes while preparing to meet with President Bush – What’s in them?
Personal privacy is an important issue. When your own spiritual advisor betrays you and embarrasses you to the maximum extent, it is not very pleasant. Bush and Paris Hilton lost their right to privacy today. It could be you and me and others tomorrow. While the matter may be of fun and relief for Bush’s opponents, it is a strong reminder that all of us are vulnerable to privacy sellers. The spiritual advisor who betrayed Bush is a long time family advisor and has written a book to make millions. The tapes are revealed to prove that what he wrote in the book is authentic. According to published report the tapes cannot be made public because they contain sensitive personal matters that may have legal reparations.
While President Bush is starting his historic European tour to get the allies together, explosive nine-hour secret tape with his spiritual advisor is haunting the media world. The tapes are believed to be slowly leaking through the Internet. The tapes have some interesting statements like President Bush talking about using Marijuana but keeping quiet about it, being reluctant to gay bash against neo con evangelists in America and so on. But a story on the Internet mentions about President Bush talking about “Me versus the world.”
The world leaders are eager to know whatever they can about Bush’s personality through these embarrassing tapes. Bush will meet with French President Chirac, German Chancellor Shroder and Russian President Putin.
According to some European Web sites, the tapes make no difference for world leaders – they know Bush very well. But Bush’s main mission was to mend the relations with the Europeans and move forward with a common goal. This can be worst time for revealing any personal shocking materials. Only time will determine if President Bush can shrug off these and move on.
