The divergence in index futures a major concern possible market top
Sam Adelton
Mar. 14, 2007
The index futures are showing signs of problem. The divergence between Nasdaq 100 and S&P 500 futures is biggest ever. The divergence between various stock market index futures is also widening everyday.
Market tops are always accompanied with divergences between various sectors of the economy. As smaller and smaller amounts of money chase these stock index groups, divergences show up. The uneven distribution of buying power among different groups of stocks is common at the end of bull markets.
Market collapse is also proportionate to these divergences. The biggest divergence ever says biggest ever-catastrophic fall in stock markets.
