Russia and Canada – the two emerging economic superpower

Feb. 18, 2007

It will will not be the military might that will determine the real strength of a country. The Japanese understood that at the end of the second world war. America finnaly understood that at the end of 2006 with the oucome of the Iraq war. It is the economic strength that will matter. The economic strength is based on two real factors. First, the energy reserves and second, the inherent out of means standard of living.
Out of means standard of living is defined as borrowed prosperity. America, India and China are all enjoying prosperity that cannot exist for long. Chin and India depends on Western Foreign Direct deposit and trade surpluss to fuel their survival and some prosperity. America needs $3.5 billion of foreign Capital unflow every day to continue its current standard of living.
In the middle of all this energy is scarce. One can say clean coal technology. Some one else can say nuclear technology. And yet another cice can shout out solar, hydrogen, ethanor and so on. Bottom line is simple. Crude oil and Natural Gas reserves will provide 75% of world’s energy needs.
Russia and Canada are well positioined. The standard of living comapred to debt is moderate in bothe countries. Both the countries have frantastic oil and natural gas reserves. Russia and Canada are the two emerging economic superpower
