Expatriate Indians do not buy Manmohan’s sweet words – India has given nothing back to expatriate NRI Indians in exchange of decades of massive investments
Rita Parikh
Jan. 7, 2007

Expatriate Indians so called the NRIs are upset. They know India is run by oligarchs. The paid politicians are servants on a monthly pay roll. These oligarchs of India have extracted billions of dollars from the NRIs, exploited the native Indians and in return have given nothing back to the expatriate community.

These oligarchs of India asked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to come out and say “to invest in their country of origin, not just financially, but intellectually, socially, culturally and emotionally as well.” But what India given in return of all these sacrifices by the expatriate Indians? Nothing!

India has sold itself to Western interests to earn dollars and euro. They have forced the native population to serve the Western Countries for little money in name of outsourcing. Expatriate Indians especially Indian Americans feel betrayed by these thug class Indian oligarchs controlling the country since independence in 1947.

They call it democracy. They buy and sell votes in open market. These oligarchs mostly pay the politicians. And now, these oligarchs have the audacity to ask for intellectual investment from the expatriate NRIs.

Inaugurating the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) 2007, the annual conclave of the Indian diaspora at the Vigyan Bhavan convention centre here Sunday, the prime minister said: "We in India wish to see you engaged in India's great adventure of building an India free from the fear of war, want and exploitation."

One expatriate Indian NRI at the ceremony said “ India can only be free if these career politicians and their ‘keepers’ the oligarchs are taken out.”
