A stealth revolution brought the Democrats back in power
Sonia Chopra
Nov. 10, 2006

They did not speak. They did not protest. Unlike at the time of Vietnam war there was no civil disobedience. The anger was high. People below age of 25 voted 60% more than normal. They made the big difference. The Republican apparatus of ‘getting election done’ just could not match them. They blogged on the Internet. They exchanged emails. They felt for their own friends – the fallen US Military heroes in Iraq. Republicans could not brainwash them. They went out and voted the dark side of politics out.

It was a silent bloodless revolution. No one understood the level of route and where it will come from. The University campuses had no signs. The revolution happened over the Internet. Smear tactics could not move the young people. They understood the game. Politicians make a living of a salary from the Government but their real remunerations come from big corporations who hire them to brainwash people to get their ‘special interest’ done. It worked very well since 1980. But for the first time it miserably failed.

What is interesting is that people are not resting after this election. They want to make sure never again ''Vietnam'' or ''Iraq'' happen. Rich people in America have their own agenda. If they want their own new world order, they should go and fight themselves. They should not misguide the country and drag everyone into a war that has no meaning.

The young people in America finally took charge of their own destiny. Whether it is social security, Iraq war or huge ballooning trade and budget deficit, it is just something wrong that America’s older generation did to the young. The youth of America finally replied. And, what it interesting they plan to reply even more in future. It is not about Republicans and Democrats. If Democrats behave the same way, they will be pushed out too. It is about true American patriotism - not just politician's lip service.

This is a case of greed and where greed can take people. With top security clearance the Government trusts a citizen and depends on his or her patriotism. And like in many other case people betray that trust for money and apparent power from wealth.
