Mittal has seen that before. He will see it again. But this tiem he will se the face of red China. Real test for Mittal is in China when Arcelor Mittal faces real communist blockage in trying to get 38% stake in China's eighth-biggest steel maker Laiwu.
What strategy China will take in blocking the deal is not very clear. One possible way is for the Government or a company representing the Government out bid Arcelor-Mittal. China may outright stop the deal citing Chinese economic security issues.
It will interesting to see how China plays it out because EU is a major buyer of Chinese goods.
