Indian IT bodyshops starts tapping Central American markets - Tata Consultancy Services will open office in Columbia

TCS has also bagged three new clients in Columbia including the Ministry of Finance and two leading telecom companies.

TCS Iberoamerica currently operates in 14 countries across Mexico, Central America, South America as well as Spain and Portugal.

According to TCS officials, the Columbia office will serve the need for sophisticated IT and BPO needs of global and regional companies based in Columbia. Columbia represents an important strategic market being the third largest country in Latin America in terms of population and the regions fifth largest economy. Indian IT body shppers are now focusing on Central America as their inefficiencies are exlicitly manifested in America and Europe.
