India China joint technology projects may surprise the world

In a landmark development, India and China today agreed on November 17th to constitute a Joint Steering Committee to formulate a plan of cooperation in the field of Science and Technology. Today India and China is getting even closer in joint scientific and technological explorations as well as innovations. 

The committee would identify areas of cooperation between the two sides. India and China already have some MoUs in the area of science but these are only at the level of exchange of ideas.

The two sides are planning to officially cooperate in disaster management, information technology, ocean sciences. The main effort is to synergies the strength of China in hardware with India's in software.

In addition, according to prominent international think tanks, India and China have already taken some very strategic advanced technology projects. China is very interested in harnessing Indian technical brain power.
