Is Lisbon providing the safe heaven for Abu Salem?

Underworld Abu Salem , wanted by India in connection with the 1993 Mumbai blasts case, and his girlfriend Monica Bedi were sentenced to jail on Friday, 28th November, after a Portuguese court found them guilty of forgery and entering Portugal illegally.
The Portuguese government has dropped one of the three charges against Salem of marrying a local girl to get a resident permit. Abu Salem was part of the gang of recently declared international terrorist by the US, Dawood Ibrahim, till mid 90s' and part of the team that conspired and executed the gruesome Mumbai blasts in which 257 people were killed and property worth Rs 30 crore was damaged.
Based on all indications, it seems under some strange pressure (from who?) the Portugal Government has decided to provide the necessary sanctuary to this criminal. While they have decided to extradite Monica Bedi, Abu is in the process of getting solid asylum in that country. CBI knows very well that they will never see the face of Abu on Indian soil. It seems a secret deal has been struck between interested parties in this case. Government of India should apply all possible pressure on Lisbon Government to get Abu back and try him for mass killing in Mumbai. Again based on history and probability – it will never happen. Indian Government will eat it again from them
