Stagflation is on - Chicago Purchasing Managers Index down in June while prices soar

Chicago area business activity fell back in June after hitting a seven-month high in May, according to the latest Chicago Purchasing Managers Index. The business index, issued Friday by the National Association of Purchasing Managers of Chicago, fell to 56.5% in June. This is the lowest level since February. The index reached 61.5% in May.
