Leander Paes and Martin Damm advanced to the second round of the Wimbledon men's doubles

Leander Paes and Martin Damm advanced to the second round of the Wimbledon men's doubles after their opponent Zanko Tipsarevic of Serbia and Mikhail Youzhong of Russia retired. The Indo-Czech pair were leading 7-6 (4) 6-3 when Tipsarevic and Mikhail retired.

Later in the day, Sania Mirza and Michaella Krajicek of the Netherlands defeated Stephanie Foretz (France) and Antonella Serra Zanetti (Italy) 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 in the women's double first round.
