Iqbal Khandey, a senior IAS officer of Jammu and Kashmir, was arrested by the CBI in connection with the sex racket that has rocked the state, agency sources said.
Khandey, an IAS officer of the 1978 batch from the Jammu and Kashmir cadre, is currently the Principal Secretary (Planning).
He was arrested by the CBI under Section 5 of the Immoral Trafficking (Prevention) Act, the sources said.
The CBI also arrested hotel owner Riaz Khawa, whose establishment was being used as a brothel, they added.
