U.S. and coalition forces killed at least 14 Taliban fighters and arrested six during military operations in southern Afghanistan, the U.S. military said late June 22. Eight fighters were killed in Uruzgan province June 22 when troops raided a complex of caves used by insurgents as a meeting place, and six rebels were killed a day earlier in fighiting in Helmand province, the military said.
